Metering Pumps
A metering pump is a positive displacement pump that reciprocates. The feature is that it excels in sending a fixed volume of liquid. Since a small amount of liquid can be used to deliver an appropriate amount, it is often used mainly in places that require precise injection, such as water purification of drinking water and injection of chemicals during sterilization operations. In addition, it is also used for adding additives to foods and injecting regulators into wastewater. There are various types such as a solenoid-driven metering pump powered by an electromagnet and a motor-driven metering pump powered by a motor.
